Report

“PROJECT TREE” is a project to develop a platform and sustainable supply chain in respect of traceable natural rubbers, and aims to achieve sustainability of the natural rubber industry.
As important part of this project, we commit to conduct sustainability activity for farmers of natural rubber, and have appointed Proforest, a global environmental non-governmental organization, as a consultant firm of this project.

Starting of PROJECT TREE sustainability activity on April

Proforest took place a workshop for PT. ANEKA BUMI PRATAMA (ABP), a natural rubber processing company, to implement of the sustainability activity for their supply chain.
Proforest introduced Responsible Sourcing from Smallholders (RSS) as a based framework of this project.

Conducting Needs and Risks assessments on May

We did the initial survey on 7-14 April at a specific area in Jambi and Palembang with Proforest.
Based on this survey, we developed a questionnaire for farmers and conducted enumerator training on 26 April.
Also, the Needs and Risks assessments were conducted by ABP sustainability team on 27 April to 3 May.
Our Next step is to build an Action Plan based on this Needs and Risks assessments.

Action Plan development on June

During this month, we developed a detailed Action Plan based on priority needs and risks, resource allocation, planned outputs, and timeframes, with Proforest.
We are going to work in respect of Risk Mitigation and Support Needs, and proceed to the goal which was set on this Action Plan.
