PROJECT TREE Sustainability Activity Quarterly Report (July - September 2024)

Report

For Project TREE, traceability is the key to unlock transparency in the natural rubber sector. This is challenging especially in Indonesia, where many smallholders are unaware of its benefits. We’re committed to working directly with them to simplify the supply chain and build a more valuable future for all.

Project TREE made significant strides in Quarter 3 (July-September 2024), providing capacity building and training to 1,121 smallholders (1,016 male and 105 female). This brings the total number of smallholders engaged with Project TREE to 11,838 (9,748 male and 2,090 female) as of September 2024.

Building on the two-year development of TREE+, we're now seeing 10,000 smallholders delivering TREE+ rubber, integrating valuable geolocation data and risk assessment into the supply chain.

Mr. I Wayan Prasta Gita Mandala, a smallholder in Desa Panai Makmur, South Sumatera, exemplifies the positive impact of Project TREE's traceability system (TREE+). Participating in the program has provided him with increased incentives and greater sustainability, enabling him to invest in fertilizer and ensure a more sustainable future for his rubber production.
