PROJECT TREE Sustainability Activity Quarterly Report (April – June 2025)
Smallholders form the foundation of Indonesia’s natural rubber industry, cultivating most of the country’s rubber on small-scale farms. Their role is essential in maintaining the continuity and sustainability of rubber production. Yet, many faces persistent challenges due to low awareness of global market demands. PROJECT TREE was created to help close these gaps by equipping smallholders with sustainable farming techniques, strengthening traceability systems, and providing inclusive support to improve their livelihoods.
PROJECT TREE broadened its impact in the second quarter of 2025 by onboarding 2,448 additional smallholders, including 403 females. This expansion brings the cumulative total to 28,000 participants—22,948 male and 5,052 female.
As of June 2025, TREE had engaged over 13,222 smallholders and assessed 71,755 hectares of natural rubber farms which help us uncover risks to enhance and promote responsible sourcing from smallholders.
